Chess

Vinodayathra
Vinod (Dileep), an MCA graduate, still hasn't figured out what to do with his life. His parents decide to send him to his sister Vimala's (Seetha) house. She is married to Shaji Raghavan (Mukesh), an engineer with the Irrigation Department. The idea was to put some sense into Vinod's head. But Shaji isn't all that happy to have Vinod at home because his unmarried younger sister too is living with them. He doesn't want the younger sister to fall in love with his irresponsible brother-in-law.
Punjabi House
Unnikrishnan (Dileep), a jobless youth, who is heavily in debt, decides to commit suicide after taking an insurance policy which he figures would pay back his loans, after he dies. He jumps into the sea, but he reaches a distant place & gets caught in the fishing nets of Gangadharan (Cochin Haneefa). He thinks that Unni is deaf and mute and Gangadharan gives Unni and his own assistant Ramanan (Harisree Ashokan) as collateral to the 'Punjabi House', where he himself had taken a loan from.
Thenkasipattanam
Shathru (Dileep) is appointed as the new manager of K. D. & Co., the business enterprise headed by Kannan (Suresh Gopi) and Dasappan (Lal), the two brothers who rule over the market town of Thenkasi, with their bravery and unity. There Shathru runs across Devootty (Kavya Madhavan), their younger sister who was his classmate in college and whom he had a crush on. When Devootty tells Shathru that she couldn't be with him unless her brothers have families, he sets out to get her brothers hooked up.
Thooval Kottaram
Mohanachandran (Jayaram), although a lawyer by profession, does all sorts of odd jobs to support his large-sized family. He is engaged to marry Sujatha (Sukanya), a local school teacher. Devaprabha (Manju Warrier) and her grandfather Ramavarma Thampuran (Babu Swamy), of the royal bloodline and who has a mansion in the same village, comes for a short visit. Unni (Dileep) tells his family that he is working in the Gulf but in reality, he runs an illegal spirit business with Bhai (Murali) in the Valayar area and is known there by the notorious name of "Valayar Paramasivam". Unni, however, confesses about his real job to Gopika (Kavya Madhavan), whom his mother is insistent that he should marry. Trouble starts brewing for Unni when his brother Balu (Indrajith) becomes a police officer and gets transferred to the Valayar area.

Mundoor Ramanandan Nambiar (Dilip), a struggling Ottan Thullal artist, dreams of marrying his uncle's daughter Indu (Joemol), but faces stiff opposition from his uncle (Rajan P. By fluke, he manages to save the life of Kerala CM Ravi Menon (Murali) & becomes famous. C.I.D. Moosa then tries to find out who is trying to kill the CM.
Pandippada
Bhuvanachandran aka Bhuvan (Dileep), a broke real estate broker, is conned into buying a 30 acre land in Tamil Nadu, disputed by 2 warring local bigwigs - Pandidurai (Prakash Raj) & Karuppayya (Rajan P. Dev), both of whom sworn to kill anyone buying the land. Bhuvan & his partner Bhasi (Harisree Asokan), hatch a plan wherein Bhuvan would befriend Pandidurai to get closer to him. Bhuvan also gets drawn to Karuppayya's daughter Meena (Navya Nair), unaware that Pandidurai also has an eye on her.

CI Madhavankutty (Dileep), whose corruption earned him the nickname "Garudan", routinely bends the law for the likes of rich criminals like Arumukha Chettiyar (Vijayaraghavan). Once Madhavankutty misbehaves towards the district Sub-Collector Sethulakshmi (Kavya Madhavan), for which he was forced to publicly apologize. Unnikrishnan (Dileep), an orphan & someone convicted as a juvenile, saves Qasim Baba's (Lal) life from a group of killers. Unnikrishnan assumes the name of Salaam as per advice from Baba & joins Baba's forces. Suleiman (Shammi Thilakan), Baba's nephew, murders Baba & puts the blame on Salaam & he gets sentenced to life. In jail, he joins up with 3 of his old pals from the juvenile home & plans to get back at Suleiman. Soon, Baba's old right-hand men also learns of Salaam's innocence & joins him.

Arjun (Dileep), trying to raise money to treat his crippled brother, joins BCM college & hopes to compete in the South Zone athletic meet & win the prize money, to be able to do that. Gowri (Gajala) & her elder brother Rahul (Madhu Warrier) also studies there. After an initial spat, Gowri takes a fancy to Arjun, angering Tinu (Riyaz Khan) who had an eye on Gowri. Ajith Thomas (Dileep), a TV reporter, when he finds the dead body of a man whom he happened to capture on camera a few days ago, broadcasts the image of the woman who was on camera with him, thus finding Krishna Priya (Meera Jasmine), his widow. Soon, Ajith finds that Krishna Priya is being hunted by a group of criminals running a huge sex racket, & that Krishna Priya's dead husband Hari Kumar (Indrajith), was also part of it. Ajith tries to protect Krishna from them, but jeopardizing himself.

A Kashmir based Islamic terrorist group, to get their hands on the project documents, blackmails & deploys a woman called Lakshmi (Mohini) to get close to Eshwar, after kidnapping her child. After Lakshmi refuses to follow through with the plan, the terrorists detain her. Eshwar, Zakir & a group of commandos launch a commando op to free her.
Crazy Gopalan
"Kattala" Gopalan, a small-time thief, moves from his village of 'Oonjalaadi', to the city of Cochin, to escape from the cops. There he teams up with another thief Lakshmanan (Salim Kumar). In the hope of striking it big, they fall prey to a trap set by banker Babu John (Manoj K. Jayan) & get framed for a bank robbery. Lakshmanan is killed by Babu, but Gopalan escapes. He teams up with thief 'Lavangan' Vasu (Jagathi) & Babu's estranged step-sister Diana (Radha Varma), to get back at Babu John.

Mulla (Dileep) hails from the Karekkaadu Colony, a slum full of criminals & prostitutes, led by Ambi (Biju Menon) & is set to succeed Ambi as the colony's leader, should something happen to Ambi. He finds a deserted child in a train, which he hands over to passenger Lachi (Meera Nandan) & leaves. Lachi, who has her own problems, returns the baby back to Mulla, & he & his gang tries to bring him up. Lalchi also visits & takes active part in raising the kid, & gradually she & Mulla fall in love.

Subhash aka Kochu Kurup (Vineeth) runs away from home to Bangalore, after being mistaken as the lover of Unnithan's (Janardanan) daughter Sarasu. There, Subhash falls in love with Padmaja (Kavya Madhavan) over telephone conversations even without seeing each other, after he saves her aunt Sudha (Sukumari) in an accident. Nandagopal (Mammootty), a high-ranking & rich IAS officer, pampers & raises his epileptic sister Ammu, resulting in her being short-tempered & spoilt. Nandan marries Gauri (Shobana) on condition that Gauri's younger brother Venu (Dileep) marries Ammu, without disclosing Ammu's condition. Although Venu learns of it, it was too late. After the marriage, Ammu finds it tough to adjust to Venu's environment, complicated by the fact that Nandan still catered to Ammu's whims & continued to pamper her.

Middle-aged single millionaire John Fernandes (Thilakan) comes for vacation to Ooty, from USA. When Padmini's husband Chandran Nair (N.F. Varghese) made passes towards Radha, Padmini sends Radha back with Divakaran. However, Radha now insists on marrying Sasikumar, putting Divakaran in a dilemma.

Self-made businessman Balachandran (Mammootty) falls in love with & marries Nirmala (Sukanya). Soon after, his financing company & hotel is threatened when he locks horns with an influential person, K. K. Nair (Johny), for attempting to use his hotel for prostitution. Royal Circus, in which Babu (Dileep) was a clown, was a family affair in which most people had grown up with the circus, including Babu. Sudhakaran (Nishanth Sagar), who comes along to save the circus from bankruptcy, introduces various reforms & revamps the circus, but had his eye on the owner's (T.S. Raju) daughter Kamala (Manya), whom Babu had hoped to marry. Not to displease Sudhakaran & dazzled by the new-found wealth, the owner also favors Sudhakaran over Babu, breaking Babu's heart.

LtCol Dr. Rajalakshmi (Saranya) has 2 girls - the docile elder Pooja (Bhama) & the unruly Pinky (Roma), who anchors a hidden camera prank show on TV called 'Colors'. Pinky overturns her cameraman Rahul's (Vinu Mohan) overtures in favor of LCDR Sanjay Nath's (Dileep), her childhood friend & rival prankster, after some initial spats with each other. Moz D. Samuel (Dileep) & little girl Tessy (Nivedita), who stayed afloat doing petty theft, meet rich girl Nandana Vasudev (Aswathy Ashok), younger sister of millionaire businessman Sumesh Vasudev (Rahman), during one of their capers. Nandana was in town to get Sumesh back to Bangalore, while Sumesh was hellbent on killing his ex-partner & current rival Panackal Das (Manoj K. Jayan), who had gypped him. Nandana develops a fondness towards Moz & Tessy & seeks their help in getting Sumesh back.

In Saudi Arabia, a Muslim Malayali, Akbar (Dilip), is sentenced to death for killing his Brahmin friend, Raghu Rama Iyer (Vineeth), while back home in Kerala, Akbar's wife Rasiya (Meera Jasmine) & Raghu's wife Ganga (Kavya Madhavan) are devastated by the news. When Akbar's & Raghu's common friend John Kuruvila (Biju Menon) tells Rasiya that the only way Akbar's life can be spared is if Ganga forgives Akbar, Rasiya & her father Abdu (Mammukoya) goes in search of Ganga, to beg for Akbar's life.

Pondicherry-based home minister R.K. Santhanam (P. Vasu), puts his daughter Gayathri (Nithya Das) up as a nominee for a minister post to capitalize on the sentiments of his wife Lakshmi's (Sabitha Anand) murder. Gayathri revolts & runs away, joins a nomadic group & ends up with struggling bus owner Unnikrishnan (Dilip) & crony Sundaran (Harisree Asokan). Pretending to speak gobbledygook, Gayathri stays on, but soon her identity is revealed & she is forced to return, to protect Unni & Sundaran.
Three Men Army
Struggling artist Muthukulam Madhukumar (Dileep), with the help of pals Benny Kurien (Premkumar) & Surendran (Indrans), tries to kidnap his lover Subha (Devayani), when their affair becomes known to Subha's folks & Subha was put on house arrest. Balabhaskaran (Jayaram), a somnambulist, wastrel & flirter, is finally forced by his parents to marry Chandrika (Annie), to correct his wayward ways. Later, Manikunju learns that the actors who had played the roles, Shajahan & Mary Varghese, were in love as well, & had eloped into obscurity after the shoot.

Veni (Shalini), who gets orphaned after her grandfather Mahadevan (Gopi) passes away unexpectedly, is given shelter by Mahendran (Jayaram) & his grandparents. After Veni was Subramanian (P. Sukumar), a distant relative who had his eye on her. Mahendran reunites Veni with her lover Krishnan (Dileep), but Krishnan had a dark secret to tell Mahendran - he had accidentally killed Subramanian. Later, Hameed Ravuthar (Murali), a cop from Tamil Nadu shows up in town & quickly catches onto Krishnan.

Nandagopan (Dileep), a young man, approaches South Indian superstar Suryakiran (Kalabhavan Mani) to make a film based on a script he wrote, set in his village.
