Hajime Sugiyama

Sometime in the 1910's, when young rebel Konno Tôgo is thrown out of his religious school in Kobe for brawling and fraternizing too closely with the local girls, his mother puts him under the trust of an acquaintance of hers, the principal of a provincial junior high school. Still violent, he falls in love with a local girl living in the rural town of his new school. Loosely based on the autobiographical novel of the same name by Toko Kon.
