A 23-year-old bum tries to find his way amid the oppressive environment of the suburbs where he was raised. Trevor McIntosh faces two major problems, he wants to get away from his overbearing mother, his womanizing father, and his older brother, and he wants to lose his virginity. Trevor tries very hard at the latter, but can't seem to connect with the young women that interest him. Then he meets Charlotte Peacock, an artist from the '60s. She accepts and encourages him.
