Two of Waco's leading citizens, Richards and Farley, pay the Pecos sheriff the reward Waco had posted for Matt and bring him back to Waco. There, they tell him they want him to be the sheriff and drive out the lawless element.

Whip arrives to investigate why night raiders are ransacking cabins but taking nothing. He recognizes the saloon owner as the man that went to prison for a robbery committed five years earlier in which the money was never recovered. He then learns the Sheriff was his partner in that robbery but escaped. It appears the Sheriff has hidden the money and Whip now tries to trick him to revealing it's location.
Sundown in Santa Fe
A dagger has been left in every robbery by Walter Durant, fugitive leader of the President Lincoln murder ring. Rocky is sent to Santa Fe to find Durant and arrest him and the gang of outlaws he controls. Rocky soon finds that the information for every robbery comes from Tom, who is the son of the sheriff. But Rocky has to arrest the whole gang, and he does not know who is part of the gang and where Durant may be hiding.
Savage Frontier
In his final B western, Bob Steele is Sam Webb, an ex-outlaw gone straight. When the Cherokee Kid is broken out of jail Rocky questions Sam. Cherokee was in Sam's gang which has now been taken over by respected townsman Oakes. Just as Rocky convinces Sam to talk, Oakes has Sam shot. Oakes then plans to lure Rocky into a trap and also finish off Sam.
