Ramu

Narendran (Mammootty) is a daring cop who has always been keen on doing his duty, but is forced to make compromises due to all kinds of pressures. The enthusiasm that he had when he donned Khakhi for the first time gradually gets eroded and he is often reminded that as a cop, there were a lot of limitations. But then Narendran is put in charge of a murder case. The usual pressures arise, but somehow he finds it in him to work against these pressures and do his duty the way he thinks is right.

Ravishankar (Sreenivasan), a junior lawyer to a famous lawyer Venugopal (Innocent), & an idealist, is frustrated with the fact that he hasn't even handled a single case on his own even after being with Venugopal for 12 years & also angered at the corruption in the legal system. Finally, with the help of his friend "Sakshi" Mani (Jagathi) & ASP Prakash (Suresh Krishna) & Judge Mukundan (Thilakan), Ravishankar lands the post of the Public Prosecutor & takes on the big shot Isaac Samuel (Saikumar).

Major Nair (Nedumudi), an old man, who leads a respectable life as a husband & father, flirts with younger women. He befriends 3 college students & romeos - Bhaktavalsalan (Sreenivasan), Gopan (Mukesh), Kora (Jagadish) - who are also out for love. When they choose Nair's daughter Meenu (Lizy) as their target, Nair opposes. All 3 get into Nair's house posing as a Hindi tutor, houseboy & Nair's wrestler brother-in-law's disciple respectively. Nair comes up with crooked plans to throw them out.

Ravi Prasad (Prem Nazir) & his brother Gopan (Ramu) live their lives around their little sister Sindhu (Nalini) who was mute. Ravi marries nurse Prabha (Seema) & they have a baby, but they separate after a misunderstanding. Prabha's evil cousin Natarajan (Raghu), a serial killer, murders Sindhu, with Prabha's son the only witness to the murder. Ravi & Gopan go on a hunt for Natarajan to bring him to justice & while Sindhu's fiancé Balachandran (Mammootty) guards Prabha & her son from Natarajan.

Pillai (Prem Nazir), a village simpleton who spent his time goofing around with a bunch of kids, takes a fancy to Sasikala (Seema), the new lady cop in town & in a bid to win Sasikala's affection, Pillai takes off on a quest to be a man. Meanwhile Sasikala is wooed by the Sub Inspector of Police at her police station, Premkumar (Ramu), & they decide to marry. Pillai returns a new man, but is devastated at the prospect of losing Sasikala to Premkumar & decides to commit suicide.

3 medicos - Satheesh (Ramu), Venu (Shankar) & Jacob (Manian Pillai Raju) - plan a bet to cure Venu of his cowardice. The other two would put a ring on the finger of one of the corpses in the medical college mortuary, which Venu will have to retrieve at the night. However, things go terribly wrong when Venu is found dead the next day & Satheesh is accused of killing him & jailed. Satheesh's mother judge Lekshmi Menon (Srividya) seeks the help of lawyer Krishnadas (Madhu) to free Satheesh.

Hardworking, capable, honest and dedicated CBI inspector Shyam Kumar is assigned the case of bringing to justice the criminals behind the use of fake cheques to purchase commodities. The major draw-back in this case is that the perpetrators try the best possible ways to eliminate all evidences of this crime. As Shyam get down to the bottom he will find that this case gets more difficult as some people are not who they claim they are. (imdb)
