Tina tries to escape into an affair with the writer Tony Cameron (Paul Hubschmid). Then a terrible car accident occurs in the course of which a man is killed. At the beginning Karl thinks Tony was at the wheel of the car. But when he realizes that it was Tina who drove the car, the extent of the tragedy becomes clear to him.
