WARSAW is a film with many storylines, all of which play out during a single day in winter. The main characters are linked through the city in which they find themselves. They also share the fact that they all come from the provinces. Each of them has different plans and objectives upon arriving in the capital.

Few episodes from the title character's life make up a study of small town society, a sketch for a picture of Polish province. It is devoid of action ethnographic document; instead it's filled with observation from the perspective of a person touched by TV-induced numbness, searching for answers for a few simplest questions, such as: What time is it? The two journalists, Mark and Peter choose to ride a horse. During that Piotr fall and is taken to hospital. It is the first TV series of Polish Television dedicated to the medieval history of Poland. The action of the new historical telenovela produced by TVP begins in 1333. The king Władysław Łokietek dies, tired of the fight for unification divided into districts of Poland. His only surviving son sits on the throne - Kazimierz. It’s a story of a young woman from Warsaw - Iwona who has two children and works in a supermarket. She lives with her unemployed husband in a block of flats. They are always short of money - that causes many quarrels and destroys their relationship . One day Iwona receives a great offer from her old friend - Wojtek. He wants her to move to London and start a brand new life.

The background of the story presented in the film are the events that took place on May 3, 1982 in the streets of Warsaw, Poland. On that day, the militia and ZOMO brutally pacified the largest demonstration since the introduction of martial law.
