Karate Kid: Legends (2025) - Rated 16 Aug 2025
"The first half had soul, but the second half was soulless. This movie needed time to build up the characters and the story, it looks rushed when you compare it to Cobra Kai. That last fight looked really cool, and it's always a feel good moment to see Larusso back with the Miyagi wisdom, but not enough to plug the void of what's missing in this movie. Hoping for another TV series in this universe next time instead of a movie. I actually do want more."
Revival (2025) - Rated 15 Aug 2025
"You can tell everyone involved tried hard but it just falls flat. The themes explored at the start almost helped me get over the copaganda, but then they all collapsed under some mystical spiritual bullshit. The first season's ending made me stop watching. Just not an interesting direction."
War of the Worlds (2025) - Rated 12 Aug 2025
"Not even a good ad for Amazon (or Microsoft, or Tesla, or all the other brands featured in there). Just a stinker of a movie."
Resident Alien (2021) - Rated 09 Aug 2025
""Name one bad thing about New York? 9/11" This show has some absolutely hilarious moments, it's full of heart and just lovely all around. I don't care that it's not perfectly written and has many flaws and dull plotlines, it's adorable and I loved every minute. The characters are great, the actors are great, the setting is great, it's not a "great" show but I can't find much to hate about it. I'll miss it."
Superman (2025) - Rated 04 Aug 2025
"That movie is confused. Not confusing, but confused. The worldbuilding is intense and interesting, it finally feels like DC wants to be comic accurate, but we simply didn't spend enough time with Superman in the Superman movie, we barely know the guy by the time it's over."
The Fantastic Four: First Steps (2025) - Rated 23 Jul 2025
"It's okay. I loved the æsthetics of their universe. The characters are fine, well acted. It's just that the movie is… dull. It has such a great ensemble cast, yet somehow the best it can deliver with it is some long winded story about a super baby. Galactus and the Surfer looked awesome, until they had to be nerfed to fight on the F4's scale. I liked the movie, but it can't be good that the mid credits scene intrigued me more than everything else."
Warfare (2025) - Rated 15 Jul 2025
"Very well done. Quite interesting. I'm not american or militaristic enough to vibe with this movie, but I can recognize its importance to war survivors on both the USA and Iraqi side who want the rest of the world to understand what they went through."
Solo Leveling (2024) - Rated 05 Jul 2025
"I should have known going in that watching an isekai wasn't going to entertain me, but it was worse than I expected somehow. Poorly written, can be summed up as "the writer's fetish", more cringe moments than epic moments, yawn."
The Sandman (2022) - Rated 03 Jul 2025
"Looked good but I can't get over the cringe. The main character's appearance, demeanor, etc. straight up pisses me off for some reason I can't explain so it didn't help. Some cool moments, but I might just be getting too old for that type of show."
Ironheart (2025) - Rated 03 Jul 2025
"Dragged on too much, could have been a 1h30 movie. The techno-magic parts were rough. Riri as a character was rough. It's not all bad though, enjoyable series to watch if you can put yourself through the grind, and the end is a good change from the disneyification of Marvel protagonists and story arcs. Didn't care too much for this series, but it got me wondering what's next for those characters, so that's good enough."
