"Disappointingly mediocre. Visually quite nice but the concept of capitalistic cloning has been done before and the film does not really explore it in any good direction. The films themes are such a smorgasbord of leftist concerns that it creates a smeary thematic mess. The standard "Obvious Trump character is actually a portmanteau of lots of politicians" excuse really falls flat as Ruffalos portrayal is as subtle as a brick. Which is the major problem with this film, it has zero subtlety."

"A lesson in how not to adapt a book to film. There is a good plot in here but sadly it is buried beneath irrelevant characters and scenes leaving the film with no sense of urgency or relevancy. It flits from theme to theme in the same way leaving you wondering of the actual point of the film. Finally there is the ending which staggers on like a drunk looking for some place to collapse but never quite deciding on what note to end it on before exhausting itself of possibilities."
