|5 T8||Night Train (1959) - 22 Nov 2010
"A bit heavy on the 'melo' with the drama, but interesting. And it's on a train (obviously) so that's an automatic attraction for me."
|1 T1||The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day (2009) - 13 Nov 2009
"I knew this wasn't gonna be good but h-o-l-y shit. After a while, you just can't help but laugh at the avalanche of incompetence that formed this crater of meatball cinema."
|1 T1||Conquest of the Planet of the Apes (1972) - 08 Aug 2011
"The success of this franchise in the 70s can only be linked to a) timely social commentary & b) that even in this fourth entry, they really know how to climax their movie. Otherwise, this is just shit that refuses to make any logical sense past the message it's imparting."
|4 T6||At Midnight I'll Take Your Soul (1964) - 04 Jul 2009
"Never trust a gravedigger with a top hat, this should be common knowledge."
|4 T6||The Batman (2022) - 23 May 2022
"Feels (and looks) closer to a two-part TV pilot than the beginning of a film series. Once more, we get some real life parallels in our comic book movie finales, ala Joker (2019), and it’s done somehow worse this time. Good Catwoman & Commissioner Gordon, tho. respect."
|7 T10||Twin Peaks (1990) - 10 Jul 2021
"Just for the Laura storyline. And while you can tune out basically everything after until Lynch returns and creates that amazing finale, the second season will undoubtedly grow on you with a repeat viewing. Sit it out through the James - and even worse, Nadine - screen time and you will find certain answers not found in any other season. Namely, to do with the White/Black Lodge, the purpose of the spirits that inhabit the Woods, and their relation to Twin Peaks."
|6 T10||The Iron Giant (1999) - 14 Jun 2009
"Just as I was losing faith in the awe and wonder film can have, this animated relic of my youth comes along and shows me. It's all so simple, so funny, so perfect. Escapist children fantasy doesn't get much better than this."
|6 T10||To the Wonder (2013) - 09 Jun 2013
"the world needs more creations like this."
|4 T6||A Simple Noodle Story (2009) - 07 Mar 2011
"The ending feels tossed off, but perhaps that's due to the Coens' delivery being better in almost every way. If it wasn't for a few annoying characters, and a very silly opening, this more comedic offering would have went down smoother. The minimal use of dialogue in the midsection and constantly attractive cinematography are what make it stand out in comparison. While not numbering among my favorites, the consensus of reactions (from what I can tell, either indifferent or negative) perplexes me"
|7 T10||Punch-Drunk Love (2002) - 20 Apr 2007
"Ridiculous & endearing in a cracked-out-romance-for-fucked-up-people sort of way. I happen to fit this bill, and even for PTA, this is one incredible feat in cinematography / color design / casting. I love it more on every watch."
