"The set design is cool and the puppets look good but the film is boring and the relationship between Bowie and the girl is strange and unnatural. Theres some really bad shots here too where the green screen is very clearly visible. If the movie had more normal human characters for me to experience the movie through, the stakes were more real, David Bowie younger, and if there were more charismatic and memorable characters, human or not, I believe the movie would've been way more engaging"

"Its very melodramatic with bad SFX and some non believable deaths where the actors look like they're pretending to go limp. Despite that the fast pace, cool style and many POVs with lots of action make the movie entertaining while also being a backdrop to what I think is the real message which is how warped adults can view kids and their future. The shallowness of all of the characters could be because they wanted the viewer to focus on the message instead of character story and development"
