"a refreshing raunchy anime comedy. I saw a comment that said "mature powerpuff girls" and i feel like that nailed it exactly. Despite being written by men, these characters feel real. they are real. dope show"
90% The Navigator: A Medieval Odyssey (1988) - Rated 25 Aug 2023
"A fun arthouse movie that is sometimes funny but i respect that it takes itself seriously. Overall a good movie with an interesting take. While it is initially hard to understand, the meaning unfolds and it becomes perfectly clear"
28% Malignant (2021) - Rated 24 Jul 2023
"While at times it felt like a cheesy horror movie, the plot is captivating enough to make up for it. Im not a big fan of the jumpscares though, they feel like a cheap distraction to say “look we’re a horror movie”"
28% The Mummy (1999) - Rated 23 Jul 2023
"Is this movie technically good? No, not by a long shot. The crass cgi, casual racism, and cliche plot have all the makings of a bad movie. But i find those elements (minus the racism) to be what make the movie fun to watch. Because this movie is fun to watch. I find the bad cgi and cliche plot actually some of the movie’s strong suits. Its these elements that make you laugh and keep you interested as the movie rides the line between the narrative and the absurd."
90% Gone Girl (2014) - Rated 23 Jul 2023
"An incredible movie. A truly captivating tale that managed to keep you invested for the entire run time. Complete with the ultimate mind fuck, this movie deserves all of its accolades"
54% Oppenheimer (2023) - Rated 21 Jul 2023
"While the film was certainly good, there was a level of unnecessary epicness in storytelling. Additionally, i felt the story was both fast and slow paced. Ultimately, it was a well written, directed, acted, and produced film."
