Dune (2021) - Rated 30 Dec 2024

Villeneuve really is a master of his craft. I was so hyped to watch this when it came out and it did not disappoint. Same with Dune Part 2.

Anora (2024) - Rated 30 Dec 2024

Had no idea what to expect going into this but I absolutely loved it, especially the second half which is bonkers. Mikey Madison was also a nice surprise, she’s incredible in this film.

Alien: Romulus (2024) - Rated 26 Aug 2024

The production of the movie is great, its a good looking film apart for the CGI Ash which was a really bad choice in my opinion. The premise of the film is so far fetched and silly but i just went with it. There were too many classic lines and rehashed scenes from the original films for my taste. I did go to the cinema with pretty low expectations for this film and overall I can say i did have fun. Its not a masterpiece in any way, but its not the worst thing ive seen either.

Prometheus (2012) - Rated 26 Aug 2024

It has its problems but i didn't hate this movie and id say its worth watching at least for that operation scene alone. But in my mind, this is not part of the original Alien universe...sorry film, but nope. Alien Covenant on the other hand...what an abomination of a film.

Infinity Pool (2023) - Rated 16 Dec 2023

I was intrigued in the beginning and was invested in the story but it became such a snooze fest in the second half I just couldnt wait for it to be over already. I would say that Mia Goth was a joy to watch, she was the highlight of an otherwise mediocre film.

Queen's 'Under Pressure' will never sound the same to me after watching this film.
