Adolescence

this is a series that tries to tell a lots of things, only ends up on telling nothing. in fact; a cheap knock-off of a david lynch (RIP) movie/tv series, only to contain absolutely not a single piece of what makes lynch's projects unique and good. the 1st episode was actually decent. but unfortunately; it just goes downhill after that. the series fail to offer a proper explanation for almost every major plot points; particularly why did jamie kill katie. was it because of the bullying? was jamie actually in love with katie and did it out of jealousy and being rejected? or did the red pill and the incel stuff that had came out out of nowhere had any effect on it? was jamie really an incel? (just because someone claims that they're ugly doesn't mean they are an incel, nor they claim they are) what was the effect of manosphere on the environment of jamie's school and social circle? this series wants you to answer those questions yourself. this kind of storytelling technique is not necessarily bad. but the problem is, the show fails to provide sufficient amount of context and data that would actually enable you to answer those questions. and what you end up with is an emmy bait that wasted four hours of my time. the actors/actressed all did a great job; but if your script is trash, acting just can't save it.
