Not a world Im involved in at all but a pattern of familiarity in the erosion of the spaces where these events take place in one that I think many can relate to in this new modern world. There’s far less community space obviously it’s mainly to do with capitalism(and the racial impacts capitalism has on underserved communities) and use of these spaces as spaces for another expensive condo or box store to match the box store down the street but there’s also the realization that has to happen around our modern distrust of everyone and it allowed these spaces to die. The phone made us scared of the world and BORED of the world so when these spaces whether it’s bowling alleys or movie theatres or skating rinks or community run music venues we became okay with it. So many little worlds out there waiting to be heralded/supported and that’s the power of the documentary. Traditions to be learned!
