Whistle

I usually have a pretty high tolerance for this kind of easy made horror stuff but I just found this one to be like heavily melodramatic when it just didn’t need to be. I don’t need things to make sense or the characters to act rationale as long as it’s not a slog to get thru or annoying and this one was definitely the latter because of the seemingly unending ability of the movie to milk every scene to its emotional core. Even the dialogue is just laid on way too thick and that’s ignoring scenes where a character is dressed sort of like the crow in the pouring rain mourning. A couple fun death sequences and some other moments where you can feel a good energy and I just wish it had way more. Give me waaay more of the carnival esque stuff! That was great.
