I liked it a lot, but I completely understand that it is not a show for everyone. It is strange, unusual, and very ambitious, and it also demands constant attention. You cannot switch off for a minute because, the moment you do, everything can turn chaotic. And deep down that makes perfect sense: the series is built so that its form resembles the minds of its protagonists, that messy, emotional, and sometimes overwhelming connection.

Its greatest strength is precisely that feeling of being an experience more than a conventional narrative. It does not simply tell a science-fiction story: it wants to immerse you in a flow of emotions, bodies, cultures, desires, fears, and shared memories. Sometimes it works in an overwhelming way and sometimes it drifts, but when it truly connects, it has something very special.

I also think it is important to say something very clearly: part of the negative reaction comes from people who cannot handle queer content or who get nervous the moment a series stops revolving around their narrow idea of masculinity. Honestly, if someone comes in with that mental block, they are better off not watching it. Sense8 does not ask permission to talk about sexuality, identity, love, desire, and human connection from many different angles, and that is a big part of its strength.

Visually, it is extraordinary. The editing, the jumps between characters and locations, the sense of simultaneity, and the way these lives intertwine are handled with tremendous imagination. Some moments feel like a music video, others pure melodrama, others emotional science fiction, and it almost never looks like a normal TV series. That gives it huge personality.

It is true that it takes time to get going and that it does not always balance the sublime and the ridiculous equally well. There are slow stretches, scenes that go on too long, and moments when it feels more in love with itself than with the story it is telling. But even then it remains hypnotic, because very few big productions feel this free.

Overall, I think it is a very good and very singular series, with a sensibility that separates it from almost everything else. It is not always easy and not always perfectly shaped, but once you tune into its frequency, it grabs you in a very unusual way
