Inmune tries to bring the fear and anxiety of the COVID-19 pandemic into the realm of dystopian science fiction, but ends up being a joke in poor taste. With a plot that tries too hard to be relevant, it becomes a silly, senseless parody of what the subject really deserves. The characters are flat, the situations implausible and the narrative so predictable that it's almost painful.
Far from offering an interesting reflection or a novel angle, Inmune seems more like an excuse to exploit the COVID theme without any real sensitivity or creativity. It is a genuine piece of rubbish that wastes the time of any viewer looking for something more than clichés and cheap sensationalism.
