Ultimate Spider-Man

This animated version of Ultimate Spider-Man is clearly aimed at a younger audience, with episodes packed with simple humor, constant jokes, and a tone that feels more like a sitcom than a superhero action series. It's fast-paced and visually flashy, but if you're looking for a serious, grounded Marvel story, you won't find it here. The teenage energy dominates every scene, with a Peter Parker who keeps breaking the fourth wall and side characters that feel more like comic relief than real teammates.

Worst of all, it wastes a strong roster - including Nova, White Tiger, and Iron Fist - by drowning them in a gag-heavy format that often feels childish. Aunt May is reimagined as a modern working woman, Nick Fury plays school counselor, and the high school is practically the new S. H. I. E. L. D. HQ. There are some fun nods for Marvel fans, but overall, it feels more like a parody than a real Spider-Man story. He deserves better.
