A Record of Sweet Murder
For the first half hour, this movie was one of the most boring movies ever and was just a crazy guy talking at the camera. The last 2/3 of this film are some of the most insane found footage chaos I have ever seen. A Record of Sweet Murder is a wild found footage experience that you need to see for yourself, but it definitely has its issues. First, the entire movie relies on every character having no self-preservation and making the worst possible decisions by staying anywhere near this situation. Secondly, I refuse to believe that even if people were this dumb, any of this could happen naturally. It's just too perfectly messed up.
This is definitely not for everyone, but it's one of the better found footage films I have seen, and I think fans of the genre will get something out of it. I really enjoyed the technical aspects that make it feel like everything was captured in one continuous take. In fact, that's the most impressive part of the film and uses the concept in a way that many other movies could only dream of.
I watched this on a whim, and I know this is a lower score for a full recommendation, but if you like bizarre found footage films, this is the one for you! You can find it on Tubi. Enjoy the ride, and make sure to keep all of yourself inside the ride!

Mini Review: For 30 minutes this was one of the most boring movies I'd ever seen: just a crazy guy talking to the camera. Then it explodes into some of the wildest found footage chaos I've seen. It asks you to ignore unbelievably dumb decisions, but the technical execution is incredible, making it feel like one continuous take. It's not for everyone, but found footage fans should give it a shot. It's on Tubi. Keep your hands and feet inside the ride!
