All Is Lost
With my Top Gun plans ruined, I just found whatever I could on Tubi. This would have been a better movie to watch on July 13th since that's when this movie mostly takes place (even though dates do not really matter in a movie about being lost at sea).
I was somewhat surprised by this and enjoyed it more than I thought I would. All Is Lost is a really good survival movie with one lead and minimal dialogue. My main comparison is Cast Away, but that movie is better because it has more interesting scenery. Unfortunately, being on a boat trapped in the middle of an ocean does not leave too much room for interesting things to happen for nearly two hours. It's for that reason I can't give this a super high score.
But Robert Redford is pretty good in this, and I was really rooting for him to survive! The soundtrack is also a big highlight for me, and I love the haunting score. The ending was decent, but I wish a slightly better choice had been made."

Mini Review: I was somewhat surprised by this and enjoyed it more than I expected. All Is Lost is a strong survival film with a single lead and minimal dialogue. I compare it to Cast Away, but that film wins with more interesting scenery. Being stuck on a boat in the middle of the ocean limits variety over nearly two hours, so I can’t give it a super high score. Robert Redford is great and I was rooting for him. The haunting score stands out. The ending was decent, though I wish a different choi
