American History X
This is probably one of the hardest movies for me to review and give my thoughts on. On one hand, it has some of the most repulsive and awful shit I've seen, but on the other hand, it has some of the best acting I've seen. I really like the message of this film, but I'm not sure I like how it was handled. The ending especially left me confused about what this movie was trying to say, and I really didn't like it for that reason.
That said, this is a pretty damn good "prison" movie. I really enjoyed the character dynamics, and the character arcs are amazing. Edward Norton, Edward Furlong, and Fairuza Balk are fantastic in this.
Hate is baggage. Life's too short to be pissed off all the time. It's just not worth it.
