Buena Vista Social Club
I'm taking a break from Criterion for a little bit so Wim Wenders month will need to continue over on Tubi. Very luckily, there's a lot of his movies over there!
Unfortunately, it looks like his documentaries are hit or miss. Fortunately, this is not trying to sell me anything but it's just not too interesting to me and did not have anything that I could latch onto. It's probably one of Wenders more popular documentaries, but no where as good as he has done.
The Cuban setting is interesting to see, but the culture is not really the focus past the music and the B-Roll shots out in public. This leads me to not really enjoying anything besides the scenery and the visuals. (Of which gets repetitive) I would have liked more from this like what I got with Tokyo-Ga and Anselm.
That's pretty much it. I liked the music and the visuals and was bored otherwise.
