Eyes Wide Shut
12/25/2024:
Wow, this was a movie that I came into very unsure of but was blown away by the end of it's rather "modest" runtime. I was truly captivated by the acting, cinematography, and pacing. It went by in a flash and yet I still want more and more! Full disclosure, the site I was watching this on messed up the last 8 minutes but it was still fantastic and the very ending was still a punch straight to my gut. My complaints with this nearly perfect movie, is that the hooker sub-plot kind of muddies some things for my first watch, and then juxtaposed, I felt every thing was way too predictable. That being said, it's still a masterful movie! I will have to watch this movie again and hope I can watch the last 8-10 minutes without complications!

I finally got a chance to watch this again! Oh wow, there's just so much foreshadowing and so many details in this! The performances are all amazing, and I love how eerie the music is and how it leads to some of the craziest, most absurd moments ever! In my first review, I complained about the hooker subplot, but I felt that it was pretty good this time around. If I'm being honest, I think this movie spins its wheels a little too much, but perhaps that's because I couldn't wait for the crazy stuff to happen this time! This is a fantastic movie that needs to be seen to be believed! (I will make a longer review when I can but I am a little busy today)

Mini Review: Wow I came into this movie unsure, but it blew me away by the end of its modest runtime. The acting, cinematography, & pacing captivated me—it flew by, yet I still want more! Full disclosure: the site I watched on messed up the last 8 minutes, but it was still fantastic, with an ending that hit like a gut punch. My complaints? The hooker subplot muddied things on my first watch, and everything felt too predictable. Still, it’s a masterful film! Ill rewatch and hope for no issues this time!
