Fall

Speaking of movies that are a half hour long that have twists that are not worth the runtime... Fuck this movie. I kind of enjoyed the first half hour and thought the Letterboxd score was a bit rough, but I think even that's too generous. The characters are annoying, dumb, and uninteresting. The plot is contrived, forced, and hollow. I could give endless reasons, but I value my time. I'll copy a review and link it to give just one small example.

"At the end, her dad smiles and says "Let's get you home" and they walk toward his car, as if she wouldn't already be at the hospital for her incredibly infected leg and severe sunburns, and then in police custody for breaking a dozen state and federal laws and also probably a murder investigation."

I normally don't like short reviews, but that explains all the bullshit from the ending, and even then, he left so much out. To save time again... That's not how phones, drones, signals, water, or light work... Every aspect of this movie pissed off my rational brain, and I have no idea why this movie is getting a pass for being "average." I'm scared of heights in real life, but this movie made me want to go skydiving again just for shits and giggles.

Every movie does not need to be realistic, but I do need it to be internally consistent. If I'm spending more time wondering how literally everything works than actually enjoying the movie, you've lost me. Also, it would help if the movie is fun to watch!
