Oh, it might have been the wrong move to make this the last Wim Wenders movie I watched. First, it's boring as hell, says less about depression than "I'm Thinking of Ending Things" and "The Man Who Sleeps," and honestly just disrespects the whole idea of apathy. It went on and on and on, and I wanted to drop it but didn't want to be unfair. But if you are looking at my score, it can only mean that this movie pissed me off.

Did you know Wim Wenders removed this from distribution? Well, there was a little controversy with Nastassja Kinski being 13 in this and doing some nude scenes with an adult. Yeah... I'm not going to name other movies, but it's pretty damn bad in this, and although it's not as bad as some of the other trash I have seen, it's still really disgusting. My view of this movie nosedived at that point and could not recover....

Besides all that, the rest of the movie was still boring and pointless and a real test of my patience. This is one of Nastassja Kinski's first movies, and she's fantastic in this, but it's a shame her performance is ruined by that one certain scene. Rüdiger Vogler was great in this as well. I think the filming in this is decent, and I could see this being a more average movie if it had better pacing, better thematic work, and that scene were removed... It's a shame this is the last movie I am watching for Wim Wenders month, but it is what it is.
Mini Review: Oh, it might have been the wrong move to make this my last Wim Wenders movie. It’s boring as hell, says less about depression than "I'm Thinking of Ending Things" and "The Man Who Sleeps," and honestly disrespects apathy. The controversy around 13-year-old Nastassja Kinski doing nude scenes with an adult is disgusting, and my view of the movie nosedived. Without that, it’s boring and pointless. Kinski and Rüdiger Vogler are great, and the filming is decent, but the pacing and themes needed work.
