Final Destination
Believe it or not, I have never seen these movies before. I know pretty much everything that happens in them from osmosis, though. The first three movies are leaving Tubi soon, so I figure I should watch them while it's convenient!
Quite honestly, I was surprised by just how much I liked this one. It's quite ridiculous but oddly charming. Whereas the last movie was bad because nothing made sense, this movie likes to play with the supernatural and does not bother trying to make things make sense. Regardless, it's still way more fun than "Fall" and has the decency to be entertaining. I also think the practical effects are way better in this one.
Ali Larter is probably the standout actress, but I realize I am biased because I love her in the Resident Evil movies, where she plays Claire Redfield. Everyone else serves their purpose pretty well, and it was funny watching this knowing it came out before 9/11. Other than that, I just had fun with this and think it's a pretty solid movie for early 2000s horror. I will try and watch all of these, but I think only the first three are on Tubi.
(Here's a game for all of you. Which one do you think will be my favorite? If you have read some of my reviews from over a year ago, the answer should be easy.)
