Dispose the day! Verily, I did tread the boards in yond selfsame play whilst yet in youth and study! Yet imagine thou the galléd humour I didst feel, when he who took the throne floundered 'mongst the poet's lines, spitting prose where verse should rise like holy prayer! And worse yet—mine heart did break in silence still, for I won not the chance to woo fair she who stood as Henry’s lady at the close!
