House of Wax

Well, this was a pretty charming goofy movie. I have rated this the same as the remake because I enjoyed them for different reasons. They are both fun, but this just has that mid 50s charm to it, but that also means that it has really bad audio mixing and some really strange things about it. I always laugh when there's a a cutaway shot to show a change in a character that should not be physically possible.

Also, I like how villains in both films are doing this for revenge after legitimately awful things happened to them. Murder is never justified, but adding revenge to the mix always makes things more interesting rather then senseless murder.

This was very fun as well and had some great effects for the time. The most impressive thing to me in this was also ironically the fire. I don't know how they did that because that room had to be very hot and smoky for poor Vincent Price. I will need to watch this trilogy again! (Oh yes! There's another movie I need to watch about Wax!!!)
