Ruby Sparks

This is a very strange movie that has very interesting things to say about the "manic pixie dream girl trope" and is quite unique. I wish it did more with this but the message is gave is very clear and I applaud it for that. On the other hand, a lot of this was very awkward and cringe. I suppose that's what it would be like in real life...? I don't know, something about this movie just feels off in general. I will need to revisit this. I sort of like it, the acting and characters were pretty fun.

Oh also, I watched this because Quentin Tarantino said Paul Dano can't act and he's very wrong!
