Scary Movie
At first, this was completely awful and I almost walked out. But eventually, all the current day references really started to weaken my defense to all the bullshit that I was seeing.
Let me do a greatest hits of some of my favorite jokes/references!
I loved the Get Out joke with the running man, and the police chief dad had some really funny moments.
Also, all the Scream 5, 6, and 7 references were better that any of those modern Scream movies. (And Scream 2, fuck Scream 2!)
Same with KPop Demon Hunters. That's a pretty over-rated movie.
Also, it made fun of the Substance so it gets major points for that. As well as having the best THREE jokes in the movie back to back. If you know, you know and you are a real one!!!
When they killed that guy on "Twitch", I was laughing my ass off because you know Twitch would not ban those guys for obvious reasons. Just like HasanAbi, Pokimaine, or Nina Lin... Sigh...
Long Legs joke was pretty funny too and I love the callbacks to Scary Movie 2!
The Weapon Joke in this is better then anything Zach Cregger could ever write and I am not joking!
"Their" was a joke on the subway that was funny as shit and super accurate and like one of the best memes that went on during the internet in 2025! Also, just a legendary scene as well!
Honestly, every joke after there was pretty good so I won't say any of the jokes from the last half of the movie.
Fuck the new Scream movies!
Yeah, I enjoyed this a lot more then I thought I would. It's pretty crazy but pretty refreshing for 2026. It's a lot better then a lot of movies that have come out this year!

Mini Review: At first, this was awful and I almost walked out. Then the endless modern references slowly broke down my defenses. The Get Out gag, the police chief dad, the Scream 5-7 jokes, the Longlegs bit, and the Scary Movie 2 callbacks all landed. The movie also roasted The Substance, which earned major points. The subway joke was legendary, and from that point on the hits kept coming. It's messy, stupid, and surprisingly refreshing. I ended up enjoying it far more than expected.
