I watched this with my friend, and we thought it was way too slow and could have easily been 20 minutes shorter. We were really bored with it until Harrison Ford showed up, and I thought there was a lot of padding for this story. Screw it, after rewatching the ending on my own just now, I think this could have been a half hour shorter.
After the small rewatch, I am not sure that I would ever want to watch this again, considering what happens in it. Without spoiling the movie, I would say the payoff, while interesting, doesn't change how I feel about the movie, and I think I'd be way more bored on a second watch. It's also handled very messily.
Harrison Ford was great in this, and I was surprised to see him in a major role three years before Star Wars. He's probably the most exciting part of this movie besides the ending. The audio mixing was quite bad, and I don't mean the effects. We didn't have subtitles, and it was almost impossible to hear some dialogue because of how quiet the actors were and how loud the background was.

Mini Review: I watched this with my friend, and we thought it was way too slow and could have easily been 20 minutes shorter. We were really bored until Harrison Ford showed up, and there's a lot of padding here. After rewatching the ending, I think it could've been a half hour shorter. The payoff is interesting but doesn't change my feelings, and I doubt I'd ever rewatch it. Harrison Ford was great, though, and the audio mixing was awful.

Are you serious? At this point I think Coppola is an industry plant. Godfather is a different story. It’s based on a novel. Can he structure a movie? Yes. Does he rely on major ...

It’s not the kind of paranoia that shouts—it hums. Quietly, insistently. Watching it feels like eavesdropping on a man unravelling, one muffled recording at a time. Gene Hackman...
