The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim
Watched this on a whim and I am disappointed...
I heard plenty of things from this, from it being disrespectful for it having a "girlboss".
Sigh... This is honestly a mess that's puppeting the LotR franchise on it's sleeve. This is based on basically one sentence from the books and although this tries it's best, it's just a generic fantasy movie. Like, they didn't even give this the proper LotR color filter. Also, why is this movie telling me things happened that absolutely did not happen in this movie...
The only things I really liked in this was the two sacrifice scenes in this, and the fact that this is over two hours but didn't feel that long. The animation is nice as I said, but it really did not scream Lord of the Rings with the coloring choices.
This really really could have used some redrafting...

Mini Review: Watched this on a whim—disappointed. Heard it was controversial for having a “girlboss,” but that’s the least of its issues. It feels like a generic fantasy film wearing the LotR name as a costume. Based on a single line from the books, it stretches too far. The color grading doesn’t match the franchise, and it invents events that never happen. I liked the two sacrifice scenes and the pacing, but overall, it needed serious redrafting. The animation’s nice, but it lacks the soul of LotR.
