The Matrix

Happy New Year, everyone! I’m on vacation and decided to watch this movie as my first film of the year. I thought it was very fitting for new beginnings and also a bit of a nostalgic trip. I never watched this in theaters since I was "too young", but I wish I had. This film is phenomenal and easily in my top 25 films of all time. There’s a very, very strong argument for this being the greatest sci‑fi action film ever made, but I want to keep this review short. (I have seen this film over 20 times, we would be here all year!)

I adore everything about it and can find no flaws. The CGI and all the effects still look great, the action is literally perfect and unmatched, and even though this is over an hour long, it goes by like a soft breeze.

I love the other two films as well, just not as much, and I’ll probably wait a bit before watching them. I want to savor this the way I would savor a steak. This is a perfect movie and if you haven’t seen it, what have you been doing?
