Through the Olive Trees
This is my fifth film I have seen from Abbas Kiarostami thanks to them being in the Letterboxd Top 500, and I don't think I would have watched any of them otherwise.
I liked this one the most out of the ones I saw, and I would have said this is the first one I actually liked except for the main plot of this is boring and tedious. The main character basically just hounds a woman the whole movie to marry him while this random film is being made.
None of the characters are interesting besides the director dude but he does not get much after half way through. All of this just seems really bare bones and amateur still. At least this looks very pretty!

Mini Review: This is the fifth film I've seen from Abbas Kiarostami, and I probably wouldn't have watched any of them otherwise. It's easily my favorite so far, though I still found the main plot tedious. The protagonist spends most of the film pestering a woman to marry him while a movie is being made in the background. Aside from the director, who fades into the background halfway through, the characters aren't very interesting. It still feels bare-bones and amateurish, but at least it's beautifully shot.
