Blue Is the Warmest Color

Although the relationship between the two women is explored with depth and supported by strong performances, the disconnected editing and abrupt cuts between scenes weaken the film's flow and affect the storytelling. I also felt that the love between the characters could have been expressed through more than just physical intimacy. It feels like something is missing in those moments. At its core, the film is about a great love and the heartbreak that follows, yet it all seems to pass by too quickly. The film is filled with both intense emotion and emotional emptiness at the same time.
