Man of the House
Neither as good or bad as “Tommy Lee Jones invades a Cheerleader sorority house” promised to be, but it’s an easy and breezy watch, livened by the girls who make a fun team, and some of the supporting cast who show up ready to play, but aren’t handed anything of interest to do: Ermey strikes just the right tone, so much so that I wish he’d been handed the lead, and Archer displays a mastery of droll side-eye in her interactions with Jones. To Jones himself: he delivers a fair and professional performance, but it’s not hard to detect his discomfort and bewilderment in his performance.
