Pusher III: I'm the Angel of Death

Certainly the best (in relative terms) of Refn’s spotty trilogy; this has a far more interesting protagonist in Buric’s Milo, and his increasingly frantic efforts balancing family strife with the harsh and (very) brutal ramifications of his business practices, do incite some genuine and unsettling tension. Much like the preceding chapters, once the violence heats up, the film turns nasty and mean-spirited, being overly derivative of any number of films in the post-Tarantino wave, and ending on a pretty sour note.
