Shrooms

A cut above the usual slasher, this can’t break free from familiar tropes, and dents its credibility with an unnecessary twist finale, but the moldy atmosphere of the Irish bogs gives it an earthy anchor, matched by performers who do their best not to make their characters too unbearably irritating. You’re not going to get anything new here, but its presentation of old clothes in a new locale almost fools you into thinking otherwise. It's a brave man who sticks any part of his body in a car with an unidentified occupant!
