Don’t get me wrong, it has some great moments, and it’s definitely more understated than her previous work. But I do think there are too many ideas crammed into it. Strangely, it still manages to drag. Moving through ideas so quickly meant I couldn't really sink my teeth into anything, making the runtime feel longer because I kept losing my grip on the moments. That back scene was fantastic, though. It made me feel weird in the shower so it's clearly doing something right. I think the core idea was strong enough as-is, so it made all the stylisation feel like extra bells and whistles after a while.
