Der Goldene Handschuh

Slightly won me round with the last sequence but I do always find myself asking “why make this?”watching these kinds of films. I don’t see the point in just showing us the real crimes this evil man did unless you’re exploring an interesting angle on it. I will say from a directing standpoint point, this guy really does know what he’s doing. He’s got a firm grip on how to elevate the uneasiness of a scene with the camera.  But yeah it’s properly grim, got an amazing lead performance and strong direction but in my opinion, it’s all a bit pointless and ethically flawed.
