A character study of a character study can sometimes feel a little gimmicky but this was expertly done.
Loved the whole butterfly imagery through Portman’s character transition ending with graduation and all that clever stuff. Loved that the cinematography got more symmetrical like butterfly wings as she was inhabiting the role. Just gorgeous.

Performances and characters were stunning. Love love love. Lots to chew on.
