Promising Young Woman

Just my opinion, Pros: Great acting, strong cinematography, superb seeing these themes normalised in popular cinema, strong message without seeming too in your face, strong beginning and ending, some unexpected moments, a true understanding of the themes with a complex protagonist. Cons: Music dictated the way the audience was meant to feel far too much, elements of cheesy dialogue that felt out of place, moments of lazy exposition, characters felt too witty to feel realistic at certain points, although there were unexpected moments along the way, there were plenty of main plotpoints that I could see coming and stylistically the film felt lost and got hung up on trying too many things.
