Ricky Gervais: Armageddon
I think my main gripe is it’s just very unlikable and that kind of feels like a massive problem in a stand-up special.
This also feels like he’s having arguments with people that don’t exist which is a real disconnect comedically for me. I’m not impressed or amused by him winning debates with a character he’s made up to have wild views.
I guess his transitions are pretty smooth and it’s a well paced set but ugh I don’t know. Bored of middle aged white fellas saying “you can’t say this anymore” whilst simultaneously saying the same stuff again and again on a huge platform. You can it seems guys. Now move on and just be funny please.
