The Reef

This film was surprisingly intense. It was really nice to see a modern shark film with actual emotion behind it. Look, it's obviously not the best film ever and it has its fair share of cheesy moments and the first act was kinda rough but overall it made for a good tense piece of cinema. The majority of the film you don't see the shark which makes for a good exercise in toying with the viewers expectations and I liked that when someone died it was met with appropriate reactions and made the whole film pretty heavy for what it is.
