I think the fact that this film really didn't have many people behind it was a testament to the way the film looks. The shots are stable to the point of genuine discomfort in more intimate moments and the lead performance was great. Also, it's refreshing to see a film tackle middle-aged female problems in such a genuine way. With that said, this film is ultimately a posh white holiday with some sexual tension and saucy stares thrown in along the way. Maybe I'm being too harsh and maybe that's due to the film not resonating as much for me but it just felt like one of those wondering films that slightly misses the mark. I'm very aware that my opinions could change as I look more into this film but for now I'll give it a solid 3.
