Death Note
One of the best shows I've ever watched. I would give so much to be able to watch this for the first time again. Such intelligent writing and well-thought out episodes and plot. An amazing matchup. Honestly you could have rated this show 100 and I wouldn't argue, but for me I'll put a 99. It takes a few episodes to get into it, but if your brain hasn't rotted from scrolling all day give it a try. The rewatchability is great because you get to understand their psychological chess from a different perspective. I remember having so many good memories watching Death Note during my senior year, in the early months. During October, November, and/or December, I would come home and make myself mozzarella sticks or tomato soup with buttered bread, or both, and watch Death Note on my laptop on my dining table as it got dark outside around 5pm. I didn't have anything to worry about then, apart from college applications which were manageable. I recommend watching in Japanese with English subtitles for the best experience, but if you want to watch dubbed, I wouldn't tell you not to. However, don't look away from the screen, as you'll miss minor details here and there that move the plot forward.
