Is This Thing On?

But I most appreciate the way that the film's set up mostly stays away from a "big cause" for the marital breakdown. In turn, it is able to avoid the "big solution" for the couple's reconnection. Most films do too little of this, instead reveling in the spectacular breakdown or rushing to the quick solution that makes it all better. This one presents to us a redemption that takes place over time, that is hard won and humble. We need more stories like this.
