After more than twenty years in the industry, Sean Baker finally delivered the breakout film he deserved. His screenplay is funny, chaotic, heartfelt, and full of memorable characters, blending comedy and drama in a way that feels completely natural.

Mikey Madison is the reason the movie works as well as it does. She completely owns the screen from the moment she appears, delivering a performance that is both captivating and deeply human. No matter how outrageous the situation becomes, she keeps the audience invested because her character always feels real.

The supporting cast is strong, the pacing is energetic, and Baker's direction keeps the story moving even when things spiral out of control. A few sections run a little long, but that's a small complaint. Anora is entertaining, emotional, and easily one of Sean Baker's best films.
