Predator: Badlands
This is one of the most interesting films the Predator franchise has produced in years. Rather than simply repeating the formula, it expands the mythology in new directions and gives audiences something different from the typical hunter-versus-prey story.
Elle Fanning delivers a strong performance and helps ground some of the film's more ambitious ideas. The action is solid, the world-building is interesting, and the story takes a few risks that I appreciated.
Not every idea works perfectly, but I'd rather see a franchise try something new than continue recycling the same plot. Predator: Badlands isn't the best film in the series, but it's one of the most creative and memorable entries in the franchise.
